British Matt Karmil, producer of such acts as Portishead, Massive attack, Sugababes and Neneh Cherry has combined expertise and experience with the youthful and promising Swedish band Obliq. Result: the critically acclaimed single "Solo". The Swedish music-blog scene has described Obliq's music as: “Obliq’s music is so beautiful and fragile that your heart bleeds when you listen to it” - “Feelings, harmonies and melodies come together perfectly in a landscape of sounds”.

The debut album "Antenna" caught the attention of Thomason Sounds and a record deal was set up to bring Obliq to the Japanese audience. Japanese clothing company "Tomorrowland" was impressed by the band and decided to incorporate this emerging Scandinavian act into the advertisement of its new clothing range.

After many successful tours of Europe in 2009 - 2010, Obliq are once again eager to get out to the European stages. During 2011 Obliq will complete their second album which will be released worldwide.
